Bridezilla Syndrome - Venue

Well, I know I suppose to write about my journey to Teluk Kiluan but I've got sooo much to write. It's also quite difficult to pick the photos :D

I am now more excited to post about my wedding prep.

Wait...what???

Yesss! Wedding preparation!

I am getting married next year. Still a few months to go but we start to prepare it since like June or July 2012 so we will not in rush. The engagement has been held in June or July (haha..i dont remember). Why so long before the day? Because we want to prepare it one year before and I feel so weird to prepare while we have no bond, hihihi.

To make long story short, these are the progress:

1. Venue
    Gedung Pewayangan Kautaman, TMII, East Jakarta
    Why this place?
    Because we need a place that fulfill the following criteria:
    a. Big enough to accommodate about 1.100 guests
    b. Easy to reach. (Almost) everyone knows TMII. Though the location is not in downtown, but it's  easy to find. For those of you who doesn't live around East Jakarta or Bekasi, you just need to enter the highway (dont remember what highway :D) and once you get out of it, you are already near to the location. It is on the roadside. No need to enter the TMII so you dont have to pay the TMII entrance fee :)
    c. Guest house. No, Pewayangan doesnt have its own guest house. But the neighbour, Padepokan Pencak Silat, has a guest house. Luckily, the guest house is open to anyone who wants to stay there. Guest house is a must for us as most of my husband-to-be's (I usually call him "si ndut") family live in Makassar.
   d. Not too pricey of course :D Pewayangan costs us IDR 16,000,000. If our akad will be held there, the additional charge is IDR 1,500,000. This price is valid for 2012. As we have booked and paid down payment in 2012, so we get 2012 price. It's value for money. The place is good, clean, comfortable make up room and toilet, etc. Puri Ardhya Garini and PTIK also meet the a, b, and c criteria but they are more expensive (> IDR 20,000,000) because of the bigger capacity. The more expensive the building is, the more expensive also the catering, decor, photo & video, and other wedding reception things.

When my mom asked Marketing of Pewayangan (Ibu Sri) on May 2012 regarding the availability date of 31 March 2013 (good day based on Javanese calculation on our born day), it's already booked! Imagine. It's still 10 months later. What a loong queue. My mom didnt ask about date in April. So the other choice is May. The good day in May is 25 May 2013. Guess what? Again, already booked :( Finally we compromise about that good day (btw, i dont believe in good day) and we booked one day after, 26 May 2013.

31 March and 25 May 2013 is still available actually but only for night reception. But him and his family want our reception to be held at day because they have many guests outside the town.

Oops..office hours almost end. I have to go home. This is a rare chance to do blogging at office hours and come home on time, hihihi.
